After several years of teaching high school English (beginning in 1992), Tom started working on his special education license through Weber State University, and went on to teach a few years of special education and history. Tom began researching aspects of left/right brain integration in 2002, and used his findings in his masters thesis (2006), which discusses the benefits of working brain integration into the school curriculum via meditation technologies.
You can imagine his delight in discovering the success that BrainWorks was having with helping students to bridge their brain hemispheres! Tom is the father of five delightful sons, and grandfather of one fine grandson. He is also the author of several books (see www.uharriet.com), with many more in the works.
